Yes, of course, we also have passings for this edition. We're just at that stage of life, let's face it, where this is part of the terrain, unpleasant as it is. I keep trying to avoid doing this, but have found, after extensive research, you all want to keep including these. Of course, I want to know about them, myself, too. So we'll continue.

First coming to my attention from 1959's GARY E. BARNES, was the notice for 1938's JEAN E. NICHOLAS, who was 87, when she died on June 1. She was the niece of Judge Frank O. Nicholas, for whom the school in Miami Shores was named. That piece of trivia came to me from 1954's WM. L. MCNABB, the master of WC triva facts. Thanks to both of you, Gary and Bill! Naturally, sympathy is extended to Jean's family and friends.

From 1954's FREDA P. FLETCHER came news of the June 8 death of her lifelong friend, SHARON A. COLLINSWORTH. Sharon had been in a nursing home in Tennessee. Freda was notified by JUNE E. "JUNETTA" BUNDY, another friend, who lives in Kentucky. Oh, how vividly I recall Sharon! She was just incredibly beautiful in school, and I often saw her at the home of my lifelong friend, SHIRLEY J. TUDOR, 1960. Sharon was friends with 1955's DONNA G. TUDOR. She had natural, blonde hair and translucent, blue eyes, and I always hoped I'd somehow turn out to look either just like her or Junetta. But it never did work out that way. We thank you, Freda, for letting us know. We also extend condolences to Sharon's family and her many friends.

This next one is a bit tough for me. On the morn of June 12, I received an e-mail from Ann Mays, wife of classmate, J. DAVID MAYS, in which she informed me of the sudden death of former WC teacher (which I didn't know until then), the gracious and charming SUSAN C. WOLF. She was the 40-plus-years spouse of another of my classmates, THOS. L. WOLF, JR. Susan died from a blood clot which had apparently formed as the result of a surgery 3 weeks prior. At her bedside was her 93-year-old mother, when she died. Over the years, I'd come to know Susan and was terribly fond of her. She was witty and intelligent and a great conversationalist, just great, fun company! I was simply stunned and felt just awful for Tom. He'd written me recently to tell me Susan was ill, but I don't think anyone expected this. Do we, ever? I know we all offer Tom and their 3 sons our heartfelt condolences and wish the best for all of them. Many thanks, Ann, for letting us know. Also, special thanks to 1960's RICHARD S. HOLT, who sent me the full obituary. It was only after reading that, I became aware of Susan's having been a WC teacher. I don't know how I missed that, all these years. I also received e-mail from teacher DAVID E. COLLINS, who wanted further info on a contact for Tom, which I was happily able to provide.

Many of us, I know, recall DALE G. "SONNY" WILLIAMS, who would have been about 1954, I think, class-year-wise. Sonny had cancer and died on the night of June 22. He was totally a Miami Shores Kid, and I think he lived there for his entire life. Word of his death came from 1957 class member, BETTY LEE CARROLL, who was notified by Sonny's wife, Carol. She wanted to be sure Sonny's lifelong pal, CARL F. ROBBINS, was aware of his passing, so I got on the phone and immediately notified Carl's brother, WALLACE W. ROBBINS, who assured me he'd call Carl, right away. I'm sure he did. We offer condolences to Sonny's family.

From 1954's WM. L. MCNABB came news of the death of ARTIS HELM, age 87, who taught at WC for 13 years. Mr. Helm was principal at Walter Shade Elementary from 1968 through
1984. He was also a veteran of WW II. He died on June 28. I didn't know him, or at least, if I did, I don't recall him, but never did attend the school where he was principal. I'm sure many of you do remember Mr. Helm. Thanks, Bill.

Very sadly, I received word on July 19 of the death of 1961's OTHEL MURPHY. I know most of us remember the fun, vivacious, personable Othel. She was delightful, and I was fortunate enough to see and visit with her when she came to Frisch's in 2006 (or was it 2007?). Othel died that same morning I was notified, and the word came to me from Othel's aunt, 1959's BETSY R. MURPHY (thanks, Betsy), longtime spouse of T. BARRY RUSSELLO, 1960. A couple days later, 1959's GARY E. BARNES and 1960's EULA FAYE BAILEY, submitted this one, too, so thanks to you both, too, Gary and Eula Faye.

This next death is very sad and it's a member of the Class of 1983, which makes this person so young! His name is JEFFREY T. OWENS and he was a business friend of 1958's BRUCE E. CHENOWETH, who submitted the information to me. We send condolences to the friends and family of Jeff. Thank you, Bruce.

On July 16, 1969's NICKI LYNN KRULL passed away. She was but 57 years old. She was far too young for me to know, but we've got readers on here from that class. Condolences go out to her friends and family, and thanks to 1959's GARY E. BARNES for sending this one.

Our official tracker of WC passings, STEVEN F. SHADE, 1965, was kind enough to send a list of all the recent passings of which he knows. I'm going to list them for you all, in case I didn't have them in past bulletins. If I did already write of them (and I remember it), I won't include those. They are, as follows: TONDRA KAYE WHITTAMORE, 1978; RONALD K. OVER-STREET, 1980; CARL L. LAYTON II, 1965, who actually died on March 27, 2007; JUNIOR ALLEN BUTLER,1966; CHAS. LLOYD THATCHER, also 1965. All of these can be viewed on line in DDN obits. Thanks, Steve.

We also have a few illnesses and I want to be sure everyone is aware of those. Just having had surgery (or some medical procedure, I'm sure) is 1956's ANITA RAE MASON. I need to check further on her status, but I'm sure she's all right. Anita seems to have some sort of steel constitution, which gets her through everything, thank heaven. (Footnote: As expected, Anita is doing great. She had half her thyroid removed on a Friday in early June, and was back home in no time. The biopsy was result cancer-free. Hurray!)

Anita, your classmate, ROSETTA PRUETT, sent special wishes to you, through this news bulletin, wishing you well, and hoping you will recover 100%. Rosetta also wrote of my sister, the late JUDY ANN RISNER, and talked of how much she misses chatting with her. Thank you for that, Rosetta.

We're not out of the woods, at this writing, with our 1958 class member, DONALD I. MCCOY. But he IS coming along very nicely, he tells me. He'd had continual problems since his surgery in April (I believe it was April) for a gall bladder problem. Something was wrong there, and Don was being very solicitous about following up on it and paying attention to his health, I'm happy to report. He notiifed me he was entering the Cleveland Clinic and wanted to get to the bottom of this, which he did. Thatwas exactly the right attitude, too! We all wish you well, Don, and we're all pulling for you, that's for sure.

Keeping me continually updated on the state of Don's health has been his close friend, 1961's PAUL R. BEARDSLEY, who's sent regular up- dates. Also monitoring Don's health are a few of his old WC classmates, WM. R. HOWARD, BRUCE E. CHENOWETH, and RONALD D. "TOM" FEE. Bruce went to the hospital to see Don, and Don was SO appreciative of your visit, Bruce, as he told me, several times. So we're paying attention, Don, and we all wish you a full and speedy recovery. I know Paul was there to see you, also. As my husband says so often, "I've never anything in my life like these WC people!" He's so right, isn't he? In fact, I recently spoke directly to Don and he confirmed he's on the mend and indeed doing well. Let's all not forget that Don owns Insurance Store of Ohio in Middletown. If you have needs in that field, I can highly recommend him. He takes care of my house and vehicles and I must say, never in my life have I had a more efficient and responsive agent.

Sometime in late June, I received e-mail from Martha E. Craig, widow of RONALD P. CRAIG, 1960. Martha had some sort of surgery, but it doesn't say what it was, although it DOES say it was a success and she's on the road to a full recovery. Great, Martha, and we all wish you glowing health.

As I understand, from 1958's WM R. HOWARD, himself, he also had a surgical procedure, just recenlty, with a stent being put in by his doctor, in order to prepare for more kidney stone prob- lems. That's now completed, and I'm sure Bill is doing all right, or else I'd have heard something. How about an update, Bill?

Bill and I manage to maintain a semi-regular banter of sorts. As many of you will recall, we had quite an exchange about the old telephone numbers (before all-number calling), and he had said the MO was for Moraine, which I just knew was wrong. But I wasn't absolutely certain of the one I thought was right. So I polled all of you, and a few of my REALLY-older co-workers at Ohio Bell. As I'd thought, the MO was the letters which were representative of Montgomery. So that's that, Bill, and you owe me a Big Boy! Just for the record, though, Bill, and to make you feel a bit better, 1971's PAMELA K. SHIPLEY was unsure as to what MO represented. Does that help any? ROSETTA PRUETT of 1956, how- ever, is sure of Montgomery!

Bill is embarking upon a road trip to Arizona, where he will likely visit with a classmate, the ever-striking JUDITH M. SMITH, who lives in the area he's visiting. He wrote he'd be gone for a week, and has likely come and gone, by now. So have you, Bill? If so, give us a road report, and tell us all how Judy's doing. Bill also offered praise to his former typing teacher, DORRIS M. SHANKLIN (whose last name is now different), and I was surprised by that, as I didn't know she ever taught typing. I had her for shorthand, but my typing teacher was ANN SPANGENBERG. Does anyone else recall Ms. Shanklin being a typing teacher?

Also doing a bit of traveling, back in June, was 1956's RALPH D. WILSON, who took a run up to nearby Bristol for the purpose of visiting old college friends. I wanted him to swing by for a visit on the way home, but he was headed in the other direction and also had to return to work, he wrote.

Cousin JUDITH L. SAMUELS and spouse are heading for Mexico this coming week, and will be gone four about 4 days, I think. I sure hope there are no precious, wooden tables nor oak windows in that hotel room, though. Ha!

Of course, I also continue a banter with my pal, MICHAEL S. WEST, 1960, founder of our now- wildly popular, "Frisch's Frolic." I suppose we're both a bit embarrassed by the fact that I've now lived here over 2 1/2 years, we're but 90 miles apart, and we STILL haven't managed to visit. Mike and Sally both stay busy in their Gatlinburg mountainside chalet, high above the city, and I've also got a gargantuan house to maintain, in addition to the obvious, 24/7 care of my spouse, who (as you all know) is a cancer patient. But we're going to get around to it, Mike, I promise you. Mike also does the blog for us all and if you haven't ever visited that blog, please do. It's spectacular, has all the info on WC folks, all the passings, and all the bulletins from the past 6 years. (I've done these things for 9 years, come October, but in the beginning, who knew it would become what it has, so none of us kept any of the very early ones.) Anyway, it's ( www.wchs.blogspot.com )

Well, I've decided to unofficially appoint 1961's NANCY A. HALL as my spiritual advisor. Who can do a better job? Nancy and I have had long exchanges recently, regarding our days in the old Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and my move to Kingsport, where there are only two of the Lutheran churches. (I'm in heavy Baptist country her, folks!) I'm trying to determine which one I want to visit, first, if ever I get in a position where I can leave the house, for a long enough period to attend. Nancy is married to a retired, Lutheran pastor, so who better to give me an answer than Nancy?

Nancy expressed condolences for classmate, SANDRA S. MAYO, who recently lost her mom, and for 1960's THOS. L. WOLF, JR., who lost his wife, SUSAN C. WOLF, who was also a WC teacher, as I now know. Nancy attended college at Wittenberg with both of them. I recently spoke with Tom, just to see how he's doing and to give him my condolences. He sounded as though he was doing as well as can be expected, all things considered. We all hope you're going to be fine, Tom, and we wish you well!

Do you all remember when my cousin, 1961's JUDITH L. SAMUELS, came for her annual visit last year, and managed to remove one of my big oak, windows from its frame, while trying to open it? (This harkens back to the earlier text about her impending Mexico trip.) Well, the path of destruction continues! This time, it was not at my house. She and her husband went to visit friends in Gulf Shores, Alabama, recently. Judy set a Coke on a table beside the bed. It was a very unique, wood table with inlays. The Coke caused a white ring on the table and she was mortified. She and Bill collaborated to hide the mark beneath the lamp and hope it dries out (and I'm sure it will). Judy and I continue daily exchanges on all matters of pith and moment, as you can tell. Ha!

As is usually the case, I probably had my regular level of errors in the last bulletin. But you've all become my helpmates, over the years, and so I appreciate those corrections, when they arrive. I want the information to be correct, if nothing else. On June 10, I received an e-mail from 1963's SHIRLEY A. RANKIN, in which she had a couple of questions along those lines. She thought VIRGINIA LEE LOWMAN was in the 1963 class. I haven't checked. Does anyone know for sure? Also, she provided the name for that third brother of 1959's SHIRLEY R. PARKS
and it is JERRY A. PARKS, 1963.

Shirley (Rankin, not Parks) was in abject fear of a dental procedure at the time she wrote this. Shirley, I trust you've gotten everything successfully done by now. I told you it wouldn't be so bad, didn't I? I hope it all went FAR better than you expected.

Shirley also expressed great support for the use and preservation of my original Woody's sign, saying it needs to be saved, and if it's for the purpose of advertising another business, so be it. That's my sentiments exactly, Shirley. I'd be just thrilled to see that sign flashing again, and since it can't be at my house, after all, then I'm thinking Woody will be pleased if one of his now -famous signs is flashing ANYwhere!

THOMAS J. GAULDIN, 1962, also checked in to give some corrective information. He told me MARY A. DUNCAN was a member of his class and that he thinks Mary's spouse, RUSSELL L. "RUSTY" ELLIOTT was in the 1961 class. That didn't sound quite right to me, as I'm so familiar with the 1961 class. So I checked, Tom. As it happens, you're right about Mary, she's 1962. But so is Rusty! I was rather surprised by that, as I'd thought he was in an earlier class. But at least we know, now. Thank you, Tom.

From 1960's MICHAEL S. WEST came a great photo of my childhood church (and that of many other WC kids), the old Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, which was at the corner of East Stroop Road and northbound Old Route 25, for many a year. The parsonage still survives, but a convenience store now occupies the site where our church was. I have a few of those oldies, too, Mike, and thanks.

Mike also wanted to know if 1963's LEE JEAN JORDAN is related to our late classmate, JAS. JORDAN. Of course, she is. Lee Jean is the younger sibling of her late brother, Jim. Also sharing a great nostalgia photo was 1956's ROSETTA PRUETT, and I sent that along to Mike, also, for posting on the blog.

Recently, my dear, old friend, 1958's BRUCE E. CHENOWETH, and I, have spoken. He is very concerned for the health of his brother who lives in Florida, and is planning on a visit there, in the near future. If he drives, he will be at my place for an overnight rest, on the way to and from. Of course, if he flies, I won't be that fortunate. He will let me know. Bruce was also looking very much forward to displaying his old cars at the WC 4th of July party in Wilson Park. He has an extensive collection of them, now.

From 1951's DOYLE A. LONAKER came the request for the e-mail address of the widow of RONALD P. CRAIG, 1960. Martha E. Craig does continue to send e-mail and is on our list, so I was happy to oblige. It seems Doyle feels he may be related to the Craig family, as that was his mother's maiden name. So what did you discover, Doyle? Did you reach Martha?

From 1960's GARY L. WARLAUMONT came a wish for my husband's improved health. Thank you, Gary, I appreciate that, and I hope so, too. Similar wishes came to me from GERALD A. FULLER, P. LYNNETTE GARRETT, JUDY M. FRANTZ, BRUCE E. CHENOWETH, JUDITH M. SLIFE, EULA FAYE BAILEY, FRANCES L. PEFFLY, JOANN K. STEMLEY, and SHIRLEY A. RANKIN.

From 1961's JUDY A. FRANTZ came a news- filled e-mail about her encounter with 1960's JOYCE A. AUSTIN, who wants to get on the bulletin list for postal mailings. Judy also wrote that she ran into 1958's VINCENT A. BROD- BACK, and went on to write how she seems to see everyone at Walgreen's! Well, keep right on going to Walgreen's, Judy, and sending us your reports!

We've all got to pitch in and give a hand to our 1969 classmate, ROBT. L. THARPE, who's in the process of putting together info and events for his class' 40th annivesary this year. Bob, we all wish you a smashing success with your event. You and the other classmates may wish to convene at a future date and coordinate future events so they coordinate with alumni weekend. That way, the folks who are out of town don't have to choose one or the other, and are able to attend every event. We've repeatedly noticed many of our classes doing that, since our alumni weekend has become SO popular. Thanks for letting us know of your 40th. We hope you have a great turnout!

Never forgetting that I'm a 20-years-long traveler to the annual Sturgis Rally & Races, NANCY J. ERTEL, 1961, sent me photos of her recent trip to the Black Hills with her family. Oh, what great memories THOSE photos inspired! That's such a beautiful part of the country, too! Thanks so much, Nancy.

Well, folks, yet another WC alumnus has moved to Tennessee. Yep, we're taking over the world, I guess. (Yes, I hear you screaming, Mike!) It's 1961's CONNIE KAYE STREETE, this time, as
she and her husband have opted for a log cabin on 7 acres, located in Paris, Tennessee. (Hey, they say we all need to see Paris, right?) She also writes that their place in Eaton, Ohio, is for sale. It is located at 208 Norwegian Cove, so if interested, contact Connie. In the meantime, I know you will love Tennessee, Connie, just as we all do. Yes, I also dearly DO love Tennessee taxes, as you wrote.

Never overlooking my old, Ohio Bell roots, 1961 class member, JACQUELINE N. LESHER, sent me an obit on an old Bell telephone cronie. I did not know this one, but I usually do, and did have other Bell friends who knew her and had missed the obit. So thanks, Jackie.

Okay, let's all see what we can do about this one. I've gotten an e-mail from 1961's DALLAS K. MATHIS. He wishes to reconnect with his classmate, THOS. L. WEIDLE, for whom I've already provided an e-mail address. So I hope you've connect with Tommy, Dallas. But he also wishes to reconnect with my classmate (1960), BRUCE A. SCHREIBER. What lovely compliments I got on the last bulletin from 1959's JAS. L. LINDSEY, 1960's JUDITH A. SLIFE and 1961's JACK L. GODBY! Thank you all so much. I do appreciate it greatly. Judy also expressed special condolence to THOS. L. WOLF, JR., on the loss of his wife, SUSAN C. WOLF, as did 1961's SALLY L. GILLETTE and 1960 spouse, CHAS. A. BUD" LOWMAN III.

Speaking of Jack, he wrote to tell me did make contact with 1961's SHARON L. KOOGLER, and that they had a long, lovely chat, catching up on each others' lives. How very nice, Jack. I'm SO happy to have been able to play a small part in that, and we hope to see both you and her at the fall events.

Now, here's a noteworthy event, if there ever was one! In early June, while 1961's PAUL R. BEARDSLEY was religiously keeping me up to date on the health status of our mutual friend, 1958's DONALD I. MCCOY, he just happened to mention that he and his wife, fellow classmate
SANDRA E. BROCK, were going to attend a party to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of Sandy's parents! Isn't that amazing? Wow! I guess a lot of us could learn a lesson from the Brocks.

Speaking of noteworthy events, it came to my attention that a former teacher, WILLARD H. FRUSH, celebrated his 80th birthday on June 25! Heartiest congratulations are extended to Mr. Frush for this significant occasion. I'm pretty sure I didn't have Mr. Frush as a teacher, but many of us did. In fact, 1961's P. LYNNETTE GARRETT assured me she did, as did her classmate, PAUL R. BEARDSLEY, who said Mr. Frush actually paddled him, back in the day. You must have been one, ornery, little cuss, Paul, when you were in school. Unless I'm mistaken, that makes at least 3 teachers you've told me have paddled you! Hmmmmm, now I was able to sympathize with you on old ACE (aka A. CLAIRE EISELE), but I'm none too sure about those other two. You'll have to fill me in on that.

In any case, we all wish continued and glowing, good health to Mr. Frush. We thank those who made us aware, who include 1965's STEVEN F. SHADE, and also 1987's SHARLENE N. MERKER, who actually sent me a clipping of the news article from the July 8 edition of the Dayton Daily News. LINDA S. ZIMMER, 1965, also sent a special inquiry about Mr. Frush's, "Big Eight-Oh!"

Also celebrating a very special occasion was 1958's RONALD D. "TOM" FEE, who turned 70 on June 19. Congrulations, Tom, and we all hope you're around for your 80th, too! (In fact, we hope we ALL are, right?)

It was brought to my attention by two of our 1958 class members, BRUCE E. CHENOWETH and WM. R. HOWARD, that we have somewhat of a celebrity in our ranks. It seems a girl named ALICE H. RIPLEY, Class of 1981, recently won a Tony award for her starring role in the rock musical, "Next to Normal." She won the award over another Ohio actress, Allison Janney. So thanks, Bruce and Bill, for letting us know, and congratulations to Alice!

However, Alice isn't our ONLY celebrity! I have recently heard from 1964's TERRY L. WILSON, who has accomplished much in his own realm of the entertainment industry, as well. In early June, Terry was attending an Emmy awards show, since he'd been nominated for Best Show Host and Performer, a category which he won, back in 1984. Terry, as many of you may recall, was once a disc jockey for WING, back in the 1960s. Terry reports he's been nominated 15 times, and has actually won 7 Emmy awards.

He's also won numerous other awards in both journalism and television and continues in that field. He was also inducted into the martial arts hall of fame, back in 2006, so don't any of you guys start anything with HIM! Ha! I wasn't very pleased, Terry, to hear that you're leaving for China in October. We need you to be in Ohio in October, so I do hope this will be at the end of October, rather than the beginning! We all offer congratulations on your significant achievement in your field of work.

Can someone out there help me out with this? I need a postal mailing address for R. MICHAEL FORSYTH, 1961. He called me about a month ago, to inform me he had copies of the very old WeCaTons. Mike was looking for a home for them, and he knew I'd provide that home. Well, he sent them to me, I was simply thrilled, and in my excitement, I disposed of the envelope bear -ing his return address. He has no e-mail and I don't have his phone number, but I'm focused on a postally-mailed, thank-you note, anyway, as I am of the opinion that would be the only proper response for thank-yous, annivervaries, etc. So if someone can send that, I'd appreciate it. I'm feeling like a clod, as I haven't yet responded. If anyone talks to Mike, please tell him I'm simply thrilled with the books.

From 1969's CAROLYN JEAN COOK came an e-mail in which she said she loves reading all the familiar names in the bulletins. She also did remember our party lines in Miami Shores (and just about everywhere else, in those days, as a matter of fact), and wondered if we shared the same party line. Boy, I don't remember a thing about that, Jean. I was hardly ever on the phone in those days, except for quick calls to then-best friends, V. JEAN WARD, 1960, who lived just 9 house aways, and to JUDITH L. SAMUELS, who lived just 6 houses away. The three of us were together so much, during the early 1950s, there was no need to talk on the phone, so I do not know the answer to your question. But I do wonder if any of us DID know who was on our party line?

Okay, more help needed. Does anyone recall a man named Bill Apple? It seems I got an e-mail from 1961's P. LYNNETTE GARRETT, in which she said she ran into this man and he seems to know me well. The connection is something to do with Woody's and the Bowman family. His name does sound familiar, but I just can't place him. Do any of you Woody's afficianadoes recognize that name? I'm thinking perhaps we may find the answer from 1960's THOS. D. YOUNG, who spent so many years there, or maybe 1959's GARY L. SIZER. Any clues?

A nice e-mail arrived from 1972's PHYLLIS A. SELLARS, the younger half-sibling of 1958's WM. R. HOWARD. Phyllis said she loved see-ing so many names from the past and really did enjoy the bulletin. She mentioned she used to babysit for the Burdette family (1959's BETTY C. and 1961's LILY K. "KITTY"), and she also mentioned the passing of her brother, F. E. "FOAMY" SELLARS, in February of 2005. A few of us may remember him, I'm sure, but I do not. She has lived in Oklahoma since 1972. The past year or so hasn't been very kind to Phyllis, as she lost her youngest son in an auto accident last year, she wrote. Her younger sister, GERALDINA SELLARS, also lost her husband in February, she wrote. Phyllis denies all knowledge of what the MO telephone exchange represents. She says she was too young to remember. Hmmmm, I'm wondering if she's just covering up for her big brother, so he doesn't have to spring for that Big Boy? Ha!

My old pal, 1960's JOANN K. STEMLEY, writes that she's staying busy at home for the summer, and husband Ron is doing a few things around the house. Ron and JoAnn, as I think I already wrote, stopped by for a visit in Tennessee, as they headed back to Dayton, from a winter in Sebring, Florida. I hope all goes well, JoAnn!

My liberal edcuation from 1954's FREDA P. FLETCHER, continues. Freda writes me news- worthy tidbits all the time, about the old days in Miami Shores, and also about her son, 1975's Dr. MARK T. SCHROEPPEL, who continues to work for the American Embassy, and lives in Asia and/or Europe, depending. I think it's Asia and you'll tell me if I'm wrong, won't you, Freda?

Lately, I've spoken with a few of us, as I always try to do. I've had lengthy conversations of late with 1960's SHIRLEY J. TUDOR, WALLACE W. ROBBINS, CHAS. A. HIGH, JR., and EULA FAYE BAILEY; 1956's ANITA RAE MASON, and 1961's P. LYNNETTE GARRETT. Among those I've tried to reach, without success, are 1960's BEVERLY A. BOWMAN and THOS. D. YOUNG. I'm quite sure Tom's okay, though, as his wife and I remain extraordinarily close and we exchange VERY lengthy e-mails, every single week, and still talk occasionally. The phone is so restrictive, we've resorted to e-mail for the lengthier exchanges. I've also tried to call 1961 's premier class member, DONNA JEAN RICHARDS. Where are you, Donna? Long time, no hear. The same goes for you, 1960's NANCY E. "COOKIE" BOWIE. You two need to check in, or else I'm going to send ou the alumni police squad, hear? Let's also add world traveler, ROBERTA A. RICE, 1960, to the list of those who need to check in, shall we?

Naturally, I look forward to seeing all of you on alumni weekend. As always, I'll ask you to keep the weekend open so you can join us. It is on October 8, 9, 10, 11, so don't forget, okay? It's hard for me to believe I've finally completed this bulletin, but this does cover all the news you've all sent. Keep those news tidibits rollin' in! If not for all of you, there would be no bulletin, so they are important!!
