I would like to thank Judy Stalder DeAngulo, Barry Russello, Phillip Howard, Linda and Lonnie Thacker for responding to the class reunion. Since we have so little time "WE" have decided to have a get together on October 7th, Thursday, so it does not interfere with all the other great alumni events and also thanks to Janet Walters we are including the Ron's Pizza group who was thinking about getting the Dayton Room at Marion"s. I will hve my daughter, Sharlene Merker Sizer there to take lots of pictures and put them on a disk . She takes pictures for WC Varsity football team and also the 9th grade football, He price is great FREE. I would also like to suggest you bring a picture(s) of your kids and grandkids. I will have a place to put them on for all to see . Also names and ages would be nice and anything else you want to share like.....my (2) 6'1" and 6'2" 14 year old grandsons. Andrew loves footbal l & wrestling and Mikel loves baseball, basketball and golf . My 5th grade Nicole is a cheer leader but want to be a Tom Boy like her Mimi. Get the idea. I would also like to honor our classmates we have lost and hope Bonnie will post a list so you can add to it anyone she missed. Any other ideas for the reunion and the Saturday night, PLEASE help me out! I thought a few roasts would be great for laughter so be thinking about this. You can even tell a story about what someone pulled on YOU. Everyone will be ordering on their own but it is important to tell them The Dayton Room and I will get the deposit back. THE 2010 REUNION DRAWS NEAR!!!

Attn: All WC Alumni classmates attending the Friday nite mixer at Wild Hogs Roadhouse on Aug 27th starting at 6:00 pm. http://www.wildhogsroadhouse.com/We will have a Check-In table upon arrival. Please stop and get your name tags and sign-in. We would like everyone with our class (1970) and all WC Alumni to have a name tag as there will be lots of people there and we want to be able to identify all of our classmates as we socialize during the evening.

It is with great sadness that I report to all of you the passing of 1960's JUDY A. BECKETT (Cash) at 12:23 a.m., on this date (17 AUG 2010- ed.) The sad news came to me through Judy's lifelong best friend and classmate, NANCY E. "COOKIE" BOWIE, just minutes ago.

---Okay, everybody! Once again, we must band together and get down to those card stores and flood the postal mail with get-well cards, the sooner the better. Sadly, this effort is once again for the Beckett family. I'm so sorry to report that my classmate, Judy Beckett Cash, is gravely ill. Her cancer has returned, she's jaundiced, and there are spots on her liver. I got a call from her sister, 1958's Linda L. Beckett (Lemons) on this very morning, in which she has requested all our good thoughts and prayers for Judy's recovery, and she made a special request that we all send her as many cards as possible, as quickly as possible. So let's get to it. Add a stop at the card store to your Saturday list of errands, and get them into the postings for today, please. Mine's on the way, already.

The Beckett family has had a very tough time, health-wise, in recent years. They've lost brother Richard Beckett, 1950, and brother Ronald L. "Pete" Beckett is currently waging his own battle against cancer, as you will recall from my last special bulletin. Now, we have sister Judy, 1960, doing the very same thing. So let's do what we do best, and pull together to support one of our own. (Keep reading.)

While I'm doing a special notice, I will notify all of you that I received word today from 1960's Phillip D. Howard and his 1967 spouse, Marian Kay Hussey, of the death of 1956's EARL RANDALL MURPHY. He resided in California, and as I recall, he had maintained a very cordial relationship with his first wife, 1958's Judy M. Smith, who lives in Arizona. I don't have an exact date nor cause, but I'm quite sure the report is accurate. I vividly remember Earl. He was a Miami Shores Kid, and dashingly handsome, quiet, and charming. I'm sure many of you recall him. I'll recap this in the next regular news bulletin. As always, I'm sorry to have to report bad news. Best to all of you, and please get Judy's cards in the mail.
